Re: Can anyone ID this running gear??

76-79 cj running gear ... a dana 30 front axle, AMC 20 rear, and the x-fer case.. well.. i'd say a dana 300 except the tailshaft housing is aluminum on the d-300.. prehaps a dana 20??

Re: Can anyone ID this running gear??

good?? depends what you want it for.. the axles are too narrow for a yj or tj.. none of the parts will interchange with wrangler stuff, the axles arent all that strong to begin with. the x-fer case is a sturdy unit, the real jewel would be a 4 speed in front of it.. but i'm guessing you have a 3 speed...
