Check Out This Tow Rig

I was at Lake Powell this past weekend and saw this in the parking lot.

Uh... Is that suppose to look like that?

Re: Check Out This Tow Rig

Yeah there are college competitions every year and I belive the engineering competition in either 97 or 98 was to build an ultra heavy duty vehicle. Whole purpose was to make it be able to haul and carry as much as possible but still make it road worthy. I believe what you see there is the MIT creation. Not one hundred percent sure but I was reading about it a few months ago and some of the things are insane. Frame being as large as 6" by 20" and almost an inch thick. interesting huh

Re: Check Out This Tow Rig

A Topkick front end, Chevy Blazer body(with lower rear matching rear bed), and Chevy dually bed. I am guessing built on custom frame. Or coudl be just on the Topkick frame. Interesting though, nice body work. You could just about do whatever you wanted in that.

I'm not sure if it's really cool or just ugly. Maybe it's the running boards or the HUGE gap betweeen the bed. It is neat but just doesn't look right.
