Which one piece axels

I'm putting one piece axels in my cj. Which brand do you prefer. Price, strength, clarity of instructions etc. are factors. Also ease of dealing with suppliers. Actually that is probably the most important.
Thanks

Re: Which one piece axels

I would use the Superior axles. I am using them front and rear in my 85 CJ.

Here's why: they roll the splines instead of machine them. That's how an OEM axle is produced as well. This forges the material into a spline... thus stronger. I know Warn cuts their splines... not sure about Summers axles, but have heard the're good too.

Re: Which one piece axels

I have a 1985 CJ7 with a 302 V8, and I have installed one piece axles that I bought form S.D.L Suspension INC in canada(450)773-1458, they are very easy to install and they come with all the hardware and easy to understand instructions, They were $475.00 Canadian, which is about $325.00 U.S. What i really like about these axles is that you can get a replacement if you happen to break one.

Re: Which one piece axels

I run Superior, but those or Sommer Bros. are both reputable. I have seen them all over for $300. I bought mine from Drivetrain Warehouse because they have a "no questions asked" breakage policy. I figure it might come in handy with a welded rear diff...hehehe. Good luck!

Re: Which one piece axels

Last fall I bought the one piece set thru JC Whitney, I know I know. But them came with no name at all. I called Whitney and requested to know where they got them. Ended up being Omix-Ada. From what I hear elsewhere respected and good quality. They are working good. paid only 229.00.

Also check out website of Krage Jeep www.jeepdoc.com I believe they sell 1 piece for 229.00. They are real good reputible people, I have spent thousands there and highly recomend.
