400$ for a starter!!!!

What does everyone else think of this? any better prices?? this is for the 6v starter on the CJ2A from Beachwoodcanvas.

For $400, you could probably darn near convert it to 12V and buy a new starter, and never have to worry about electrical compatibility again.

Moneyless, Will weld for jeep accessories.

Yes, that seems way to high. I know Willys Overland has replacement parts for the old starters. You can reach them at 1-888-265-JEEP. I priced a 6v starter for a 54 Wagon with a 226 through O'Reilly, and it was half that new, out of the box, and without taking off a core charge. If you have the old starter, I would just about bet that a good electrical motor shop would be more than happy to rebuild it for you for $300! I would check around some more before I buy through them.

When you come to the end of your road, get out and lock the hubs in . . .
