I must be nutz ...

Last winter ... and the one before that ... I sat on my butt and did little to complete my '83 CJ-7 project featured on my web site and I swore I'd never be idle again because it took three years and I missed out on a lot of fun while others were tooling around and having a ball.
There were times I could have been doing something while waiting for parts, more money or inspiration.
NO MORE!
Have you ever wanted to start all over again? Especially if you've already done one frame up 'restification'? Even just to see how much faster and easier it could be with new gained experience and new tools collected during the past project ...
I've got enough parts left over from the '83 project ... extra mill, trannie, TC, Dana 30, etc. ... so why not just build another!
So, here we go again!
This one is a good, New Mexico bred '84 CJ-7 frame that had the tub snatched off of it for a crawler project ....

Maybe I should be locked up, huh? ...

Brad-
I know your wife cut you off and put you on a CJ diet after your engine rebuild but I have the perfect solution for you!
Just start buying old jeeps and scraping them for goodies ...
I cleared $ 900 on that junker '77 CJ-7 .... enough to feed my "arrested development" ... at least for a little while ...

Now, I know where there's a ...........

Re: I must be nutz ...

You're not nutz.
It's a chemical imbalance (distilleateshortius).

You have 3 routes for treatment at this stage..

1. Go back into the garage and build another jeep.

2. Seek professional help... such as dirtrod acres, they have all kinds of projects for poeple like you.

3. Have you're wife add about 3 oz. of atf or marvel mystery oil to your feedbag daily for a month.

I used to get this every spring.

I have a better solution, to quote John Belushi from Animal House, "My advice to you is to start drinking heavily!" Have fun John!

Re: I must be nutz ...

I would like to keep one project going at all times, but first I want to keep 1 jeep road/trail worthy. That way you can have the best of both worlds. The only problem will come with when you get the second one finished. One will have to go after a while, so you can start another.

I wonder if my future wife will ever catch on?

Your starting another project does not seem to suprise anyone who knows you - Why is that?? HaHa - How many jeeps have passed through your hands to date??

Thanks, guys.
Your replies give me a silly grin!
I just wish I was 26 years old again, instead of twice that ...
My back is still strong though as I've bucked hay, swung hammers, and was a meat cutter for most of my daze.
When your children leave home, one needs something to fill the void.
