CJ5/7 Early Wrangler Firewall ?

Any ideas on what the knockouts are for on the CJ firewalls ? (mine is an 80 tub) . When looking at it from the front , there is a knockout in between the fuse block and the master cylinder , also right below the VIN plate , there is another one . And on mine there is also another one near the fuse block ( close to the fender) .
I want to toss in a hydraulic clutch setup and heard that the 80+ tubs already had the knockout for the clutch master cyl. in place . I understand this is one of them but what are the other two for ? Any ideas ?

Re: CJ5/7 Early Wrangler Firewall ?

The round one at the upper right near the fuse block is for the cruise control that is mounted on top of the driver's side fender well.
The one between the MC and fuse block is for the hydro clutch.

Re: CJ5/7 Early Wrangler Firewall ?

Jaf , thanks ! Any idea how long (in years) that same hydraulic clutch setup ran ? I would like to throw the setup in my 79 CJ5 and was just wondering if I can look as far ahead as one of the early Wranglers for donor parts , possibly early Cherokee`s ? Thanks for any help
