4.0 Timing Question

I was wondering if the timing on a 4.0 needs to be adjusted, or if the computer takes care of that? I can't find anything on it in my Haynes manual. Just how to adjust it on a 4.2. Thanks...

Re: 4.0 Timing Question

The computer takes care of it in conjunction with the crank sensor on the flywheel. The rotor in the distributor has a wide suface so that when the computer signals a spark the rotor will still be lined up to send it.
