Whats up with Hicks?

My buddy ordered a T18 adapter fromn them weeks ago, hasnt gotten a confirm, no call backs, no re emails, he has tried several times to get in touch with them.

Today he check ed his credit card account, and found out that they havent charged him yet? WTF?

does anyone know how to get in touch with them? Ill take any phone number you have, he has been getting an answering machine and NO RETURNED CALLS, since the order was placed almost 3 weeks ago.

I advised him to instruct his bank not to honor any debits from tehm and re order thru some one else ( any other suggestiosn for cheap Advanced Adapter parts?)

thanks!

Re: Whats up with Hicks?

dont know whats wrong but i have had nothing but GOOD experiences dealing with them

1. I ordered a T-18 Short Shaft Kit
2. Had it in a week
3. Missing the pilot bushing
4. They next dayed it to me at their cost and were very apologetic

I found them nice to deal with

Re: Whats up with Hicks?

I tried to order from them. I wanted a full floater kit and 11 inch brakes. They said they had to order them. I waited. I waited. I waited. I looked around for other companies. I ended up calling Hick's back and canceling the order, which they never ordered yet, and getting my order from Drivetrain direct for about $130 cheaper on the full floater kit. I got it all within a week. Very happy. I though Hicks would have been a great place to deal with, but i think they are really busy, or have a very poor supply staff.

Re: Whats up with Hicks?

Mangler,
would you mind giving me the name of the guy you dealt with and the phone number you used to contact them?

My pal has been waiting for this part for 3 weeks, and isnt nearly as impressed with them right now as you are.

Dan Stew,

thanks for the input, Ive dealt with you, and I know how you do business, Im forming the same opinion of Hicks that you have, either too busy, or just dont care, either way its a mistake in todays marketplace.

Ill advise my buddy to cancel the order ( IF HE CAN EVER GET THEM ON THE DAMN PHONE!!!)

but who else does he order an advanced adapter for Ford T18 to dana 300 from for $409?

Try No Excuses in New Jersey ...1-800-923-JEEP.........I got my NP435 to D300 for $ 107.00 cheaper (20 %discount ) than AA sells it for ,It was shipped from AA in california. Also got the clutch plate and pilot bushing from them.Someone on this board told me about them and dealing with them was one of the easiest parts of my transmission oddesy.
