Anybody have a CJ8 bulkhead for sale?

I found a deal on a CJ8 hardtop and want to run it on my CJ7. It just didn't come with the bulkhead. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Have you ever seen one? By the time you got one, you could probably have made your own. All they are is a flat piece of steel with angles at the ends to bolt to the side of the jeep. The top also has a lip in it to bolt to the hard top. They'd be very simple to make.

The bulkheads are not totally flat. They do have some contour to them, but I have seen homemade flat ones that worked fine.
Could get a think piece of plywood or plex and screw some small angle iron or l brackets to the edges for bolt into the tub.
Make sure you seal it good around the edges.

If you're really intent one getting one, I'll let my stock one go and just make another. A stronger one will fit with the whole "built for beef" mentality. I have some 1/8" diamondplating left over.

Re: Anybody have a CJ8 bulkhead for sale?

To tell you the truth I have never looked at one that close. I really had not thought about building one but that might be the best bet. I'v been having these crazy thoughts of making some kind of cover for the back and having a sliding door in the bulkhead between the seats to carry a small cooler. Does anyone know for sure that the cab will work with my wheelwell mounted type roll bar? JEEPN, thanks for the advice and the kind offer.

Not sure if it will work. What am I saying, of course it will work, anything will work if you build it. I was thinking along the same lines, building in a small sliding or trap door that leads to the back. I'm also thinking of building a stronger one that will support a 3rd jump seat in the middle, you never know who wants to ride with you (and how cute she is). You could use hook style latches to hold it down, and incorporate a removeable brace bar in there for strength as well.

Hey Shain,
Thanks, I may just do that. Been wanting to check out your jeep(s) anyway! We may make a trip up to Clayton pretty soon, you up for it?
