Disk brake conversion D44

I plan on looking around the junk yard soon for disk brake calipers and rotors for my TJ with a D44. I am looking for a set that has a mechanical e-brake and parts are readily available. Any suggestions? I want to use the bracket that attaches to the axle tube that will not interfere with my 5 on 4.5". Thanks for all of the advice. Has anyone done this conversion?

Re: Disk brake conversion D44

I have rear disks on my '66 Jeepster w/D-44 rear axle. Seems to me that the calipers are '79-'85 Cadillac, (Bendix L55311 & L55312). Rotors from CJ-7, (Bendix 141257). Warn Disk Brake bracket, (not sure if this was because I had the Warn full floater kit or if it's needed on non-ff axles too). The parking brake pedal came from an '88 Buick Regal, but similiar GM cars with rear disks will have it too. It allows for several pumps to set the brake rather than just one stroke for drums. Also a proportioning valve will be necessary to keep the rears from locking before the fronts. My front & rear Dana 44's are set for 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern.
