4.0 head on a 232 block

would the process of mounting a 4.0 block be the same as for a 258 block? From what I understand, the blocks have the same dimensions.

wait a minute that's not what I meant. Would the process be the same to mount a 4.0 head on a 232 block as on a 258 block?

In my understanding, the 232 and 258 are the same engine, just stroker differntly. Anyone gonna back me up on this or point out that I'm a fool[img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

I see no problems with it.
The bore is the same so there'd be no valve clearance to cly edge concerns ...
