Hard Top, MAN!!!!!

HEY! I REALLY REALLY need a hard top for a CJ5. Chased all of the leads down (a depressing 3 from this BBS). No good. No one came through.

What's a guy to do?

I have real money. Anyone got a real hard top?

Need it for a 73 CJ5. I converted the windshield frame to a 76. I think a 76 would work, but I am concerned about the door profile on the 76.

Re: Hard Top, MAN!!!!!

Just curious, but what are the rim dimensions (LxW)? What measurements do you doors have?

I am pretty sure there's no way to get this done, outside of showing your top to my wife on a cold day...

Hard Top, MAN!!!!!

I have a question for you? Will a wrangler hard top fit a 78 cj-7? Also what will I do about the doors? CJ's or wranglers? Any I deas would be most helpful.

Re: Hard Top, MAN!!!!!

78 CJ and Wrangler are not the same at the tub dimensionally). Parts Mike (enter it just like that in your search engine) will get you stuff for the conversion. It will cast some bucks, though. I think you and I are in the same boat. If I can't come up with the same year hardtop for my application, then I am going to use JC Whitney's body panels and weld in a side profile like a 76 CJ. Then I'll buy the 76 hardtop which seems to be a bit more common.

Re: Hard Top, MAN!!!!!

The last time I saw one listed for sale was in PA. Try this guy he had one for sale (pre 76 though).. 570-876-0122. He races Jeeps and should have one for you.
