what\'s a lincoln 9 in with disc brakes worth?

I was looking around at a local yard and came across a 9 in with disc brakes. The axle is sitting in a big pile of axles!
It's axle heaven...everyone you can think of is in this pile...just curious as to what someone might pay for one of these.
The guy only want $150 for it but I'm not interested...i've got my eyes on a scout 44 that's in that pile!

Depends what lincoln it's out of. The old big '77 tanks? 100-150$ tops.
If it's an 82ish versailles (like a granada) we get $350 plus (depends on ratio) out of them. Those are a hot item to have. And would you believe that 75% of the are posi's? Kinda wierd in a lincoln.

From what I hear, Lincoln rear disc parts are hard to find/expensive. Am I wrong? Might an aftermarket kit be cheaper?

Hey-The Lincoln Versales rears are exspensive, and are even more exspensive to find the parts-$250+; even though they have the 'small bearing' axle ends. The old '77 Lincolns had the large bearing ends and are easier to find parts for-$150 tops. Go for the D44.(OIIIIO)

Alec, you know I love my lincon rearend. The 77-78 lincon mark V rears had the smaller bearing, while the 79 had the larger bearing. the brake parts will fit on any 9" axle, truck car or otherwise.
