upgrades

I was thinking about upgrading my cj5 rear end (d44) by putting a locker in, I pulled off the rear cover & I found several of the spider gears chipped off. I cleaned it up & put new gear oil in it & it drives just fine. Now my question is which detroit locker replaces the spider gears & how hard is it to install for a shade tree mechanic

Re: upgrades

All of them replace the spider gears; do you mean which one replaces just the spiders and not the whole case? The EZ locker replaces the spider gears; I think the soflocker might too. I installed a lock rite in a 44 last night. My first install ever and it took about an hour.
