TeraFlex

I plan on installing a TeraFlex 3" TS3 suspension lift; I have gotten some Internet prices on the kit but was wondering how much should labor cost to install it? The reason for asking was I checked locally (Long Island NY), and found that prices seem extremely high. $895.00 delivered from the Internet vs. $2,800.00 for parts and labor installed locally. I would be interested in hearing your opinons

Re: TeraFlex

Sounds like you are getting hammered on the labor. It should take a full day to install that kit. Even if you have problems no more than 16 or 17 hours. That means they must be charging $100+ per hour for labor. That is lame. You need to keep looking for a shop thta won't screw you or do it yourself.(which isn't really that hard)

Good luck!

Re: TeraFlex

Do it yourself for several reasons:

1) If you ever want to modify the lift, or you break down, you will know how to work on it.

2) You will enjoy the mods more if you do them. There is a pride of ownership when you have had your sweat involved.

3) The money you save could be put to other mods that you do yourself thereby leaving you with a better rig that you enjoy more.

If you are concerned about your abilities, read more, ask more, do more.
