Inline 6 (258) PCV valve question

Jeepers with the old 258: Is your PCV valve in the front hole (right behind the oil filler cap), or the back hole of your valve cover? I'm not the first owner of this Jeep by far, and think mine might be in the wrong place . . .
Thanks

I have a 84 model, and the PCV is in front, behind the oil filler cap.

Yep, on my 88 the pcv valve is on the front and the one in the back is the pcv fresh air intake, it has a hose that goes to the back of the aircleaner.

I need to get a girlfriend I'm getting to close to my jeep.

Re: Inline 6 (258) PCV valve question

Thanks guys,
There wasn't one on it when I got it, so I put it in the front . . . guess it's the right one. The reason I asked is because I'm puting on a Rochester Carb, and will do an aftermarket aircleaner. So I needed to know which hole was for the fresh air intake. Thanks again.

Re: Inline 6 (258) PCV valve question

If you pull the valve cover, the two fittings are the same in everyway. The PCV in front and air breather in back is just the way it was done for the carb hook-ups and air cleaner holes. If with the new cleaner and carb, it would be easier, swap them. It won't matter.
