Re: How are Pro-Comp tires?

Pro Comp is also coming out with an "Extreme Duty" tire. I'm assuming that means its intended target competition is the Goodyear MT/R, but the one pic I saw looked to be a lot more aggressive. Supposed to be out in the Spring (there's no info on the Pro Comp website, but there's a small pic of the tread in the latest Petersen's) in 33's, 35's, & 37's.

Re: How are Pro-Comp tires?

Yea, I've also heard that BFG and Pro-Comp are developing a "RT" edition tire(Rock Terrain). Supposed to compete with SSR's, Boggers, MT/R's, and Claws.

I'll be waiting for someone to produce a true all conditions tire. Here would be my design: Radial constuction, same type of silicon/rubber compound that the MT/R uses(sticks well and wears good), reinforce sidewall(kinda like the MT/R), center chevron tread(via Claw and Boggers) w/ sipes(via Pro Comp), mud lugs on the outside of the chevron lugs(for lateral stability, the down fall of chevron lugs), lugs that contiue well up on the sidewall. 29"-40" sizes for 15" and 16" rims. Now that would be cool.
