Diagnosis Trick

Hey guys...
i discovered a good trick for diagnosis engine unusual souunds, rattles, squeaks, etc. B/c it is hard to often tell where sounds are coming from in the engine compartment, or elsewhere, i tried using one of my mom's stethoscopes (dr's use them to hear your heart, and breathing). it is a great tool, b/c yo uplace it agains the part you want to hear, and you only haer that part. it was great when trying to find out if my bearings were shot in my alternator, and if that really was my TFI coil making those vibrating noises.
