H8Monday ???????

Saw your post on POR board yesterday. What exactly did greg at Z&M say about delivery of your parts? I ordered a mount, harness and a few other items two weeks ago. (He told me all the mounts were currently at wherever it is they get them powdercoated, he then went on to say he had a couple not coated but needing paint and he could "cut me a deal" and give me one cheaper and send it right out, I told him to send it) I hope I don't have to wait 3 months for my stuff, they already have posted against my credit card too. I'm going to give them till the end of the week and then I'm going to shake them up. (By that time I could have driven out and picked it up myself) AA has the same motor mount in their catalog and if Z&M can't deliver, I'll go to AA and I have most of fords wiring diagrams already on the shelf. I pulled the harness from the mustang my engine came from and I'll just do it the hard way this time for practice. Let me know what you do, I'm curious. Later.

bird, i integrated the ford harness into my jeep harness and it is pretty easy. the hard part is cutting out all the wires you don't need. i only had 3 wires i had to splice into my jeep harness and 2 of them went to an ignition hot and the other went to the hot side of the solinoid. i guess that one wasn't actually spliced in. you may have a few more depending on accessories and year. just have your schematics out and you'll figure it out. besides it sure beats paying for the z&m harness. they are $$$$.good luck

Brian,

What year and make ford computer did you use? My engine is from a 93 mustang w/AOD trans and I'm going to be using a NV4500 tranny w/an atlas TC w/twin sticks. Yep, wiring ain't nuthin but a thang, I can handle it as long as I have good diagrams. Money is not really a problem, time is what I don't have alot of, I just don't want the people at Z&M yankin me around. I try and cater to the small guys and their business's and only go to the big guys when I have to. I seem to make out better that way in the long run. If everything goes according to the plan I should be riding by memorial day and I can take my daily driver CJ-7 off the road to finish the restoration I started before it became my daily ride.
