rear disk on dana 44
I have read of many vehicles with "homemade" rear disk conversions done from over the counter parts. Can somebody lead me to a site with a write up on how this was done or tell me how they did it themselves? I have a 44 out of Scout under the rear of my cj and have a spare set of brakes from a '77 Jeep Dana 30 including rotors, caliper plates, calipers, pads, and soft lines. The caliper is the 6 bolt design and the rotors or 1 & 1/8 inch thick. Obviously, there are many aftermarket pieces out there but surely it can't be that hard to fabercate a way to mount these pieces up and save a great deal of money. Thanks in advance for your help.
