Street pics O\' the Beater...

Borrowed a digi camera and took some pics of the beater in my driveway.. How stupid it looks with those little donut tires and all that lift. Man I can't wait for the wife to get her bonus check in March.....

Tommy,

How can you call that a beater-its like a cadillac of jeeps. I wish mine looked that nice It should look real sweet with a set of 33" MT's and some nice wheels.

Re: Street pics O\' the Beater...

I was just noticing that the pics make the beater look really good. Up close and personal you would see the dented up hood a butt-load of scratches(AZ pinstriping) and quite a bit of rust...The Jeep spent it's first 10 years in Ohio..You know how that goes....It is slowly but surely coming around though ...

Re: Street pics O\' the Beater...

Thanks Steve, once I get the shoes, do you think I can make it to those places without a locker? I noticed you have limited slip in yours...just wondering. It seems like once I get my Jeep trail ready, all the trails will be closed.

Re: Street pics O\' the Beater...

oh yeah! you could make it now with those stock tires! i am carrying two spares now since that trip! i took my 84 yr dad and we hooked up with 5 other rigs. one jeep pick-up lost his 4wd along the way and he had to really horse-it to get to the kilns! another guy got a flat on his cherokee and had a spare. they all crossed the gila river and went back through the florence-kelvin road. i went back the hard way through box canyon. get a topo map and check it out. martinez and woodpecker are both in that area. go to http://www.topozone.com and look under "north butte" and "mineral mtn" quads. you can print these and tape together!save some $ for more jeep stuff!

Re: Street pics O\' the Beater...

this was the hardest spot going up box canyon and no prob! especially with your lift! you want to have good rubber cause the rocks can be brutal. i'm going to experiment with my front sway-bar and see what difference with it disconnected. i can go a lot of places but when a front wheel is not allowed to drop and stays suspended in air i loose it bad! do you have disconnects?
