Re: timing light
This topic came up recently. TeamRush liked the Sears Craftsman timing lights because they were well constructed and easily serviced (if I remember correctly). I bought the model with the built in advance when it went on sale. After buying it, I found out that the gun with the built in advance is not as serviceable as the regular gun. You can replace about any part on the regular gun, but the built in advance gun only has two parts, the gun and the cables.
I don't anticipate using it enough to break it (my current gun is over 20 years old) and since I only paid $5 more than the regular gun price (after the Craftsman Club discount, we are all members aren't we?) for the built in advance, I'm keeping it.
