radio cover

Tired of me yet? I know a lot of people have the tuffy console, as do I. What do you use to cover the old radio hole in the dash, and where do I get one, I've looked and can't seem to find anything.

thanks again

Re: radio cover

Well there are a lot of options on how to do this.
1. Buy or find a dash or dash cover without the radio cutout.(I think this only applys to CJ's).

2. I have seen a few people just get a nice piece of wood or metal engraved and bolt over the hole.

3. mount extra gauges in the area (would involve cutting more out though).

4. Or do what I did just put a REALLY cheesy radio in to hopefully deter anyone from looking for a quick steal.

Re: radio cover

I like the radio idea. A cheesy one makes theives think it's your only radio, so they won't look for another. If there isn't one, and speakers are evident, they'll look until they find one.

Re: radio cover

I think a Delco push button radio would be a good choice. You can take one out of an oldsmobile. They are probably still standard equipment.
