Lockers

I forgot about tax return time and I will probably end up with $3-400.00.I wanted to use a portion of it in a cheap locker. Why do you call it a a lunchbox locker btw?
I have a dana 30 up front and a 20 in the rear.I don't have p/s..but I found someone selling his jeep with a d30 and a lockright..I asked him if would sell the lockright and he said he probably would..but it would be 200-250 becuase he would have to take apart his whole diff.
Would that be worth it?
Im thinking I could get a new one for 260...
And I would rather have one in the rear..
What do you guys think?
Your help will help me make my decision

Re: Lockers

IM not sure what one for a dana 30 costs, but it seems alittle high for just the lockrite at $300?

maybe buy the whole axle and you would have spare axle shafts to buy more time until you need a dana 44?

but I would for sure ad one in teh rear first, I think they are around $275 for an amc20.

Randys R&P had the cheapest Dana 44 lockrites I found at $229
maybe they are cheap on amc20 lockrites too, worth checking!

Re: Lockers

I mean I will have 300 dollars but he wanted 200-250 for the the locker..I am suprised he wants that much for something used.I don't plan on upgrading axles for a while..Does randys r&p have a website.I've decided I won't buy it from him because I won't have instructions or anything...and 2-250 its pretty damn expensive for a used locker.

Re: Lockers

randy's does have a web site but i don't have the address. just use yahoo or something. he doesn't have prices on his site. you can get the 1-800 number from it or any 4x4 mag.

Re: Lockers

I know a guy wanting 200 for a d35 lockright, never used but open box. Wouldn't pay more than 150 for it, you could probably get the directions from powertrax.

Re: Lockers

a lockrite for a d35 won't work in a cj.
