Trailer Hub for Swing out

I need any help I can get finding a trailer hub that isn't cast for swing out carrier. Mangler said it took forever trying to find one. The place that has been the most help has done test welds before I bought anything on three different hubs. They couldn't make any of it stick and they haven't been able to track down anything. That's all I have left so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Trailer Hub for Swing out

The ones I have bought apparently are cast, but the machine shop that cut off the flange said it was nodular and could be welded. I just finished welding my swing out last night and was standing/jumping on it (literally on the end of the swing out arm like a tire/gas can would do) to make sure it was strong....I weigh 190 and neither the spindle or hub are even close to moving, let alone breaking.

I figure a tire and gas and gear might weigh 150-180#, but it will be attached at both ends while driving, so it should be much stronger than me jumping on the arm only attached to the pivot end at the hub. I need to take some pics.

That is exactly what I'm looking for but I couldn't figure out how to get a hold of Scott in your post. There was a pic that didn't show up.
