Okay- Made it to school, a few issues

Made it to WV okay. Couple things I noticed while driving there, maybe someone can help with these issues

1)Why call it a heater if it doesn't heat very well? From now on I'm calling it the "Lukewarmer". eg: "Hey man I'm cold turn up the lukewarmer."
It's not a blower motor issue, it's just that the air isn't hot. Any ideas?

2)Okay here's my big worry. When downshifting from 5th to 4th, after having the clutch in for a few seconds, huge rumble type noise from tranny. I assume it's my brand new throwout bearing, the noise has become regular, even after 2 new t-out bearings. I think it only does it after driving for a little and when at highway speeds. What is going on here!!?? Makes me very very unhappy.

Thanks everyone for the help in getting my Heep ready for this trip.

Sean

Your heater problem is an easy fix. With the vehicle off, pull the heat knob out all the way, take both hoses off the heater core at the firewall, put a garden hose with a sprayer up to either the inlet or outlet of the core, and run high pressure water thru there for a minute, that oughta flush it out. Had to do that to mine several times over the years.
