You might want to post this question on the Suzuki BBS. I know they held a 'zukifest last year. My brothers from Ohio went. It's too far for me to travel in a weekend from down here in SC. But I'm sure some of them 'zuki boys will help you out.

Re: Badlands in Indiana

We are planning to try it out in the spring, Problem is my Tj is mostly stock, and I don't see getting a lift until next winter. Just wondering if there will be trails we can run there with a mostly stock TJ??

Re: Badlands in Indiana

I spend a lot of time there since it's less than an hour's drive for me. It's a great place to wheel. What do you want to know?

Re: Badlands in Indiana

You won't have any trouble with your stock TJ on the Green Trail. Ran it 6 times with no damage with 225/75/15 GSA tires.

Be sure to have tow hooks front and rear, tho.And a CB

Re: Badlands in Indiana

Mudracer you don't happen to have a map of the place do you, I just wanted to see if it was worth the trip, But from the response to the post I will probably try it regardless. I have about a 3 hour drive to get there,,

Re: Badlands in Indiana

They have maps available in the office where you sign in, but best thing to do is follow the trail markings. There are the "green", "orange" and "pink" trails. I hear a "yellow" trail is being added too. The trails are well marked with flags and paint marks on trees. Try the "green" first, it is fairly mild, but has some tricky parts. There are bypasses around most of these too. The "orange" is more difficult and tight with branches (read scraaaaatch if you value your paint). It has some nasty, mud sections that can get hood-deep and stop my Jeep with 38's, etc. The "pink" is the "expert" trail at the Badlands. Evil, Jeep-swallowing mudholes, a lot of rock crawling, etc. Definitely be prepared and have a winch in the group for this one! You can also just play around in the quarry. There is a little bit of everything there. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
