Overhead mounted spare tire question

I was wondering if I mounted my spare tire to my rollcage top(not built yet), if that extra weight will make me prone to a roll. I do know that it is best to keep weight as low as possible, but I am at a loss for room. I don't think my swing away tire carrier should hold that weight. The 38" tire is a little heavy. I have seen racers and competition rock crawlers mount their tires this way, so I am posing this question to the board...Thanks for any and all opinions..Ricky...seeya...

the extra weight can make a difference but if it is the only place you have to mount it then it is the only place you have to mount it.
