WTB: Dead Jeep clock/s.

I'm looking to buy a factory jeep clock or two. Looking for something that is DOA so I'm not looking to spend big bucks. I've got a dead one now and I'm fairly confident that given another for parts I can come up with one good one out of the two.

Re: WTB: Dead Jeep clock/s.

Yeah, mine's dead too on my '80 CJ-7. Once I saw one in one of my catalogs for over $150. MY clock just about stopped too!
I've been wondering if it would be possible to use the original face and replace the guts with battery operated guts available at any arts and crafts store (women like these artsy-fartsy little clocks, that look like bird houses and such, that we end up having to make for them). If it works, I might just hot glue some pine cones and holly to the dash and tell her she can use the one on the CJ!

Re: WTB: Dead Jeep clock/s.

I think auto meter makes one, probably like $40 and doesn't look too far off from a jeep one. Just an idea that might save some pain pushing little parts back into place.

I'm sort of bent on fixing this one. My wife would call it a "Man Thing".

Would Ed with the Rusty CJ please repost your reply. I got it via email but it doesn't show up here. I have no way to send you an email.
