MAP sensor

What is a MAP sensor and what does it do? dDo I need to add one if I'm doing a swap??

What type of "swap"? A MAP Sensor(Manifold Absolute Pressure) determines the absolute pressure within the intake manifold and the barometric pressure... This information is used to determine the density of the air when it enters the combustion chamber.. Purpose :helps calculate the proper air/fuel mixture.. Depending on your swap (computer?) your going to need one.. hope that helps
