Dura Lube, Restore, Slick 50, do any of them work?

Re: oil additives

I wouldn't put any crap like that into my engine!!! I would, however use a good quality oil...and change it frequently, like every 3k miles.

Re: oil additives

Restore worked for me on two high mileage 258's. It greatly reduced my oil blow-by. I had oil coming out the dipstick, the breather... heck, everywhere on a 76 CJ-5. So when the signs returned on a 81 CJ-7, I tryed it again and it worked again. I put some in almost every oil change.
Good luck, Larry

Re: oil additives

i'm with 666!
no additives for me either. change oil regularly-3000 max.
i think all additives are a waste of money-aimed at the layman looking for a quick fix. don't fall into the trap! mayyyyyyyybe some of thet stuff thick as honey if you were trying to sell an tired and noisy engine

Re: oil additives

i also put Restore in my wife's 258, it does slow down the blow-by, which reduces oil leaks.
i alway run the limited slip additive in limited slips.
i also put Slick 50 in my YJ's 4.3 engine after it was broken in.
