Water Pump

I'm sure this seems simple but i am looking for opinions
When swappin out a water pump should I use sealant on the gasket of the new pump?

I do. I think it is the hi-temperature rtv. Hope this helps.

Most modern gaskets are OK to use dry. My brand new 258 was assembled using NO gasket sealer anywhere except for Copper Coat on the head gasket. No leaks anywhere, not even the intake manifold.
