4.0 Head on 4.2
I've already done one 4.0 Head on my 84 CJ7 258. Had to deal with the water-jacket overhang. I used JB Weld and filled all the water jacket ports that were exposed. No problems with leakage to date.
I am going to do another on a 86 CJ7 and am curious if anyone knows the best head to eliminate/minimize the overhang problem. I know the 91-95, casting #7120 head is the one to use but is there a best choice? Is the problem caused by the head or the block? Also if someone has a 4.0 head sitting around that they don't know what to do with, drop me a line..
