O/T Dodge TBI Troubles

I've got an 88 3/4 ton Dodge P/U with a 100K on a TBI 318 with a nasty intermittant problem. Sometimes something seems to tell it to run "Full Rich" and I can't figure out why. It barely idles and puffs lots of dark smoke, It will barely move. I have replaced the following, Thermostat, MAP sensor, Coolant Temp Sensor, O2 Sensor, TPS, Fuel Press Regulator and filter. Return hose isn't plugged neither is the cat'.I have substituted a good coil. Only Trouble code is 37. I know it isnt a Jeep but I've gotten lots of good info from here.

Only One Jeep left but its got a 4" Superlift and 33" BFG AT'S

Yes, indeed. I have posted my question in the Dodge Forum as well. In the past I have received much better answers from the posters here.
Anyone else have a suggestion? This is really pi$$ing me off, I need to be able to use this truck, Im remodeling my house to make room for mu daughter who is due to arrive in 49 days and I cant haul drywall in a CJ.

Re: O/T Dodge TBI Troubles

Sound like you've already tried this, but I have a '91 Dakota with the same engine. It ran rich for long time... was ruining O2 sensor, etc. The shop kept telling me that the thermostat was bad. Finally, they compared the temp. the computer said the engine was running to a read off of an infrarred gun. Turns out the temp sensor for the computer was giving a faulty reading (too low) and mixture was constantly rich as a result.

Good Luck,
