charcoal canister

Do I have to use the charcoal canister from the GC that I got the 4.0 out of , or can I use the one that is already in my 1980 CJ-7

you can use your oringinal one.. it just captures vapors.. and filters them out.. so everything doesnt smell like gas and what not

HOWEVER, my moonguy-in-chief of emissions advises that you pop a fuel filter in the line between the carb bowl vent and the cannister to prevent accidental upchucking of charcoal from the cannister into the carb.[img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif[/img]
