my comments on rubicon express.

i finished my RE 4.5" lift on my wifes tj today......and I immediately drove the jeep 2 hours on the highway on 35" tires...here are my impressions..
i am very pleased...everything went together fine and the quality of the components is outstanding...the kit is complete.
i dont like the sway bar disconnects....i hate the pin style ones and i cant ever work the pins well.. i saw a different design(terraflex maybe) that i will get.
i dont like the el cheapo SYE i got..the kind you cut yuourself....while forgiving, it's a PITA..i wish i woulda sprung for the better one. the ride is excellant and i am confident my wife and daughter will be safe with my wife driving it.
35" tires fit if you don't flex much, but not on stock rims without some serious grinding...but, since thats all i have laying around, they are on till i get 33's...
wow... does it ever look nice.....

Re: my comments on rubicon express.

What exactly is the difference between the one you got (RE?) and others like Tom Wood, etc. ? What did you have to cut?

Re: my comments on rubicon express.

you have to basically cut the end of your transfer case off...whick is no small task without a serious cut off wheel...dont even think of a hacksaw, and it laughed at the sawzall too. once you cut the output shaft down so there is only 1" of splines remaining, you have to make it square somehow...then you have to tap a 3/8 hole just over an inch deep into the steel.weeeeeee..this is all under the jeep unless you take the case out..then you have to buy a cv driveshaft to go with it......buy the one from tom woods...RE sells it...so does tom...
