The suspension mods you mention are usually considered the minimum required for this tire size.
You should plan on adding bump stop extensions on at least the front axel as you will most probably get contact on the fender (just behind the marker light) from the top of the tire.

my last jeep i ran a 4" procomp lift.. only.. and towards the end i had some 35" tires on there.. and yes i rubbed the top of the fenders on it.. but it wasnt as much as i would have thought.. i really like the skyjacker softride lift.. Elusive has that.. and that is one flexin suspension.. i was very happy with my procomp also.. they are little stiff in the beginning.. but most lifts are.. once you start using them they will softin out..

Re: HELP!!!!! 35\'s on 86 CJ-7 ????

Before going extreme, I ran 35x12.50 BFGs (still do) with a 4" Superlift, 1" shackle (1/2" lift), and 1" body. Now I have a SOA with 2" lift springs (I never measured, but I estimate that this gained me about 4" additional lift). I never rubbed the tires before, but now, due to the additional flex, I rub all the time. But hey, with 3 feet of articulation, you don't here me complaining!

I have a CJ7 with 4" Superlift springs. With just the springs, I rubbed with 33" tires! I ended up putting on a 3 inch body lift until I did SOA. I am currently running 35x15.5 Swampers with no rubbing.
