Axle width?

I was out working on my cj2 project and had a few questions. The axles only measured 49" wms to wms. Is that right or am I doing it wrong? I was also checking out the AA motor mounts. They sure don't look right. The "C" channel that goes over the frame is about 1" too wide. Has anyone used them before? Do they set the motor correctly as for hieght, and radiator clearence?

Re: Axle width?

Narrow track CJ5 axles are 50.5" rear and 53" front, so you're probably measuring right. That is assuming that flat-fender axles are slightly narrower. You didn't say if these are original axles or not though.
