tj dan44 housing worth $300

I have a chance to buy a factory dana 44 housing with 0 miles on it. It is already has the tj brackets on it. it is just the housing so it needs the whole sha-bang i have currently have been looking at a complete ones in they seem to run in the 800 dollar range but It will need gears lockers any ways.
My other question is does any one make a set of axles for the dana 44?

All of the major mnfgr's make stock axle sfafts for the TJ D44 (moser, warn, dutchman, and Spicer should all carry them). Do you need the TJ perches for a specific reason? , there are plenty of other viable axles for cheaper if you dont need the coil perches.
You will also have more into the D44 than $800 when you are finished setting up unless you can find mostly junk yard parts. Lets see youll have $300 in the housing, about $300 in axle shafts, you could find cheap junk yard D44 R&P and carrier,(but I wouldnt), then you still need hubs, brakes, and bearings. I dunno seems like it would be less headache to buy one complete if thats what you need.

Re: tj dan44 housing worth $300

The reason why that i wanted to buy the stock housing is because it would be for a tj. the second reason is a was planning on running 4.56 (35 inch tires) so I would buying gears and a locker. so i would have more than 800 into the axle anyways.
