ok CJ with 360 and 3speed

ok the 86 CJ-7 with the 360 got a 3 speed behind it, any ideas of what that might be T-150 maybe? its from north dakota and the person who has it has no idea whats been done do it...thanks

more than likely that is what it is.. they bolted right up.. and could handle the power of v-8's.. the gearing sucked in them..

Jeepgod, I think your thinking of the T-15, T-15a trannies, those came behind the v-8's and were really really stout, but had lousy gearing. I believe the T-150 wasn't nearly as stong (i think).

sorry guys, i didn't say it before but its a 3 speen manual, if u didn't understand my jibberish before, i'm gonna check it out in the light today and see what transfer case its got, thanks!

The T-15s were only used through '75. After that they used the T150 behind the V8's and the gearing in the was the worst offered by Jeep with a 2.99:1 first gear. They are strong though.
