uh oh, NV3550 trouble

I just picked up my 2000 TJ Sport last Monday, knowing that there were some problems with the NV 3550 tranny. Well guess what? Mine has started popping out of first gear. Not all the time, but it's annoying, and pretty harsh when it does. All the other gears are great, but first never has the feeling of clicking fully into gear (Obviously, if it keeps poppoing out!). I have to drop it off today at the dealer. I hope I don't get the runaround about this.
What was the reason for changing from the AX-15 to the NV3550?? Is it a more heavy-duty tranny that just has a few bugs, or is it a cost cutting piece of s**t??? I hope this isn't an omen of things to come. My stupid little 4 banger with the AX-5 went for 84,000 with no problems at all. Just venting.... Any ideas why this might be happening?? Thanks all, Mark H

the nv3550 is a fantastic tranny, but some of the 2000 tj's had defective ones.. they replaced mine and i love it now.
thatas exactly what mine was doing when i took it in too.. if you get the run-around, I'll get you the name and phone number of the dealer that did the work for me.

tj-7..tellico tested, uwharrie safaried..watch for improvements soon..see it at http://www.jeepgod.net
