tr ignition

i have an amc 401 with points, i bought the motorcraft distributor, ford cap, base, tfi coil, wires, i currently run with a msd 6, do i need to get a stock ignition module to complete this upgrade. i know i can run from the coil to the msd with the 8874 harness. i hope this doesn't seem to stupid. any help would be greatly appreciated

I could be wrong, but I believe that your MSD 6 replaces the stock Duraspark igniton module.

The only drawback is that you'll have to stop every fifty miles and drain the excess gas out of the tank because the mileage will be so good it'll put fuel back in the tank.[img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif[/img]

You will need MSD P/N 8869 wiring pig tail to go from the distributor to the MSD module.
About $15.
Keeps you from cutting any wires on your new distributor or MSD module....

The Orange and Black wires from the MSD module go stright to the ignition coil.
Pick up the TFI ignition coil connector, NAPA P/N ICC1, about $10, to complete the install.
