I have a 1979 CJ-7 narrow track with 33X 12.50 on 8 in. rims and the turning radius stinks. If I change over to a wide track Dana 30 would my turning radius get better or not enough to bother with? I have a wide track AMC 20 in the back now.
Thanks

Re: Dana 30

your turning radius would get better.. not to mention you wouldnt rub as bad in the front.. since you would be moving those front tires out about 2" on each side.. therefore they wouldnt hit the springs as soon.. making it better..

Re: Dana 30

It would get better but it sounds like you have the wrong backspacing on your rims. I have a 80 with narrow tracks. I turn just as good as i did stock. The only difference i see is tht i have 10in rims. Are you rubbing the springs or are the steering stops hitting. If the steering stops are hitting first then then can be moved in to help also.
