Brake MC

I need to replace the MC on my 1986 CJ7 with power brakes. Is it safe to buy a remanufactored unit? Any recomended brands? Any brands to avoid?

Thanks

Re: Brake MC

I would highly advise purchasing a new mc from a Quadratech mag or Rosser or anywhere you can find one. I have a 76 CJ and I went through 6 mc's before I found one that worked properly. Do yourself a favor, get the new one to start with and save yourself some labor and frustration.
Good Luck

Re: Brake MC

My buddy Van, who is a professional and owns a brake company, VANCO, sez even a re-man MC is a bad idea .... much less trying to put your life on a used one from a junk yard.
Go for a brand new MC .... if you value your life ... which is rideing on it!
