Why are the M/T Classic II so cheap?

I noticed that the new Mickey Thompson Classic II are about 1/2 the price of the M/T Classic I. Why is this? Are they not as good, or is it a selling thing, and the prices will go up later? Does anybody have any of these new rims?

Because they are a cast wheel not forged.
