4.2 and 4.0 bolt pattern

does a 4.2 and 4.0 have the same engine to bellhousing pattern? I thought they differed. But, a Jeep site on Dirtroad.com "ask Grant" says the do.

They are close enough that a 258 BH will bolt to a 4.0. I don't know if the other way around works. The 4.0 has (if I remember correctly) 2 additional bolt holes, that are not used if you bolt the 258 BH to it...
