Radiator repair

My wife's 1997 Wrangler (4.0L, auto) has recently developed a radiator leak at the base of the top tank. How much should we expect to pay to have it repaired or possibly (read: likely) replaced? My knowledge of Jeeps is limited to checking fluids & oil changes, so any advice would help.

Oh yeah, it has about 40,000 miles, so it's not under warranty.

Re: Radiator repair

I put a rad in a 92XJ for under a hundred bucks. A new one installed should be under 150-175.

Re: Radiator repair

My radiator sprung a leak, and the stop leak wouldn't even start to fix that leak. I called around, and to have it cored and soldered or welded, which ever they do it was only $35.00 Of course I took it out and over to the guy. Seems fairly common. Make sure you call around. The price for the same fix was $50-$30
