how much for used gears, carpet, is this too much?

I sent an email request form thingy to a large jeep company around here. I won't give the name, might get sued for slander or somethin'. I asked how much would a set of 1 pc axles cost, used 4.10 gears, and a complete CJ carpet kit. They wrote me back, and keep in mind these are Canadian pesos, but still....$420 for one pieces, brand called Omix, i figured that was reasonable. $375! per diff!!!! for gears, plus carriers. is that not ridicously expensive for a set of used gears? like couldn't i just do to a scrap yard and pick them up for a like 50 bucks? carpet kit, $340 bones. Guess i better buy a warmer coat, or buy a sheep and make my own wool.

I think the last two things (gears, carpet) are extremly expensive, especially the gears. 750 bucks for a set of USED gears? am i right? like i only paid $50 for the whole jeep carpet? couldn't i just peel some older stuff outta a YJ or CJ for under $100 bucks?

Your peso conversion is wrong. US dollar is worth approx. 1.50 Canadian.

little confused here...there was no conversion, those are the prices they gave me in Canadian dollars....1.50 sounds pretty broad too me, i think our dollar's worth about 65.something cent's american.

Re: how much for used gears, carpet, is this too much?

Carpet kit brand new U.S. dollars---$100-130

Used gears, depends on the ratio thus determines demand. 4.10 (I paid $150) carrier and limited slip.

1-Piece axles $300 for the pair.
