harness and leaf spring question

My first question is whether or not I can get the little plastic pieces that go between the leaf springs on the end of each leaf? I am missing a couple and the others are squished out the sides. Are they easy to get in and out if I can get them? My other question is that I was wandering if the harness comes apart at the firewall. There is a bolt in the middle of it. If I take this bolt out does it come apart or does it just let you take it loose from the firewall on the inside of the jeep. It is a 79 CJ7,304 T-150. THANKS!!!

Re: harness and leaf spring question

I don't know where you can get the pads, but many prefer teflon.
As to your fuse box, the seperate.
If yours is the type that takes the old stye cylindrical see through fuses - like the one in my 77 CJ-7 you can first unplug the outside from the inside blocks and then seperate the outside parts of the module by prying the two wiring block sections (engine and headlamp/horn) apart - sideways - from each other.

Re: harness and leaf spring question

My 79 uses the blade style fuses. I wander if it is the same way?
