Funky Smell need input

I was driving my jeep back from the brake place and started to smell something burning. By the time I got home the smell was strong and my lights flickered as I turned the engine off. I think it might be the light switch going out on the Jeep but I replaced it only two years ago. I looked around the interior of the Jeep and saw nothing that looked like it was burning but it smelled like a wire or something. I then lifted the hood and the battery was fine and nothing smelled. Does this sound like the light switch to anyone else? Does anyone know how long these switches last?

Re: Funky Smell need input

here's a thought... you were driving home from the BRAKE place, so maybe its your brakes... if they redid the rear drums wrong and put your emergency brakes too tight then they'll burn... just a thought, hope it can help you work it out.

well let it run in the drive way with the lights on....if it smells....its the electrical....if not...try moving it...see if its the brakes....
